Cold Mud aims to deliver a daily snapshot of the most important, interesting and amusing food and drink writing from all over the world. It now has an archive of over 12,000 stories that can be searched by key word and by month and year by clicking 'Archive' on the bar. It is a no-machine news aggregator. All stories are hand picked by a human, Eugen Beer. Eat Me Daily calls it... "Arguably the most prolific, resourceful, and thorough aggregator of food news out there..." Why Cold Mud? Cold Mud is diner slang for chocolate ice-cream and sections are named after 'diner lingo': Bridge: Four of anything - so a group of four restaurant reviews or stories about chefs and restaurants. Eighty Six: "Do not sell to that customer" - here it's about health issues and diet Radar Range: A microwave in the kitchen - on Cold Mud its about the food business, trends and stuff that doesn't fit in anywhere else such as what happens when music meets food. Debris: In New Orleans 'debris' is the remains of beef left over from carving. For some - the best bits... especially when covered in gravy. Here 'Debris' is the pick of the last few months' stories on Cold Mud |
